Lebanon: 'Deaths' After Tripoli Explosions

Two explosions have been heard in the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli, causing deaths and injuries, according to security officials.

The blasts occurred outside two of the city's mosques on the Muslim day of prayer, when the buildings are likely to have been packed.

The first explosion, outside the Taqwa mosque, was followed minutes later by a second in the Mina district.

Local television showed a column of thick, grey smoke rising over the city, with reports suggesting the blasts caused significant damage.
