Thousands of One Direction fans have waited hours, some even days, to get a glimpse of the group at the premiere of their behind-the-scenes film, This Is Us.
Harry, Zayn, Liam, Louis, and Niall spent hours signing autographs for hysterical, screaming teenage girls in London's Leicester Square.
Sabrina, 25, was one of many fans eager to explain why she loves them.
"They're nice to the fans," she said. "The music is really catchy. You can laugh at them, unlike JLS or Boyzone who are all so serious.
"I want to see the boys and see their big night in action."
Four thousand lucky wristband holders squeezed into specially-built pens and hundreds more adoring fans crowded around the square's perimeter hoping to see the band.
Music blasted out from outside the Empire cinema in the run up to the band's arrival, while film and record company execs attempted to control fans and the sea of media who gathered to photograph and interview the first boyband to make a billion dollars.
For days the band's PR team has gone to great lengths to keep the whereabouts of the boys a top secret.
Press accredited to cover the film's release had been given interview location addresses at the very last minute in an effort to avoid hundreds of fans turning up.
The group, who came third in 2010's X Factor, have built up a massive following, selling 30 million records worldwide and beating even the Beatles to become the first UK outfit to go straight to number one in America with their debut single.
They are expected to make a billion dollars this year in America alone and their stadium tour is outselling both Madonna and Lady Gaga's 2012 tours.
